The Only Mortal in Heaven, Episode 6: Marked by Him

Blossoming trees, a pavilion above the clouds, and finally the truth. In Episode 6, Angel admits she does it too. Angels pass mana to one another so nobody starves; it is duty, and she is not allowed to enjoy it. Then she looks at William. 'But with you, I'd want to try it for real.' He wants it too, and her lips turn out sweeter than he imagined.

The white lace slides away, the shyness goes with it, and what follows leaves her glowing for real. Golden marks swirl across her skin, too much mana, she guesses, the same way Asmodea earned her wings. That shimmer spreading over her is the loop to keep on repeat. Then they walk back hand in hand, straight into a golden-crowned archangel, and those marks are impossible to hide.
