The Only Mortal in Heaven, Episode 4: Now the Angel Wants Him Too

Episode 4 trades midnight for morning light. The angel arrives with fresh clothes and a shy smile, waits outside while William dresses, then offers a walk, as long as he stays where she can see him. He finally asks her name. 'Angel.' Hand in hand, she leads him up through white marble halls to the angels' quarter, while two demons whisper behind them about the human.

The demons' side lies below, and she tells him not to think about it. Then the confession: when he touched her yesterday, mana poured into her, a lot of it, and mana is what they live on. Food. William remembers that word. She brings him to a glowing pool of light, the most important place they have, and that slow turn toward the glow is the loop. Then William starts to cough, and the calm breaks.
