Therapy With My Stepmom, Episode 4: Therapy for Three

Rewind the fantasy: in real life, Riley threw Cole out of the bathroom. Episode 4 drags the tension to the dinner table, where Richard asks who Cole's new therapist is and wants to sit in on a session. 'She doesn't do those.' So Richard turns to Riley, and she says yes.

The scene moves to her office, firelight flickering, and Richard finally admits it: after the divorce, he just stopped showing up. Cole waited six months to hear that, and Riley is the one who pulled it out of him. Then Richard slips out for a two-minute call. Cole breaks first. Riley unbuttons her blazer, sets one rule, 'You don't touch,' and slides onto his lap. The door handle turns. Richard's voice comes through the wood. Her answer, smooth as anything: 'Just a breathing exercise.' The loop is the handle turning. The episode is everything behind the door.
