Therapy With My Stepmom, Episode 2: Meet Your New Stepmom

The loop: red silk turning in candlelight, Riley's hand on Richard's arm, and Cole freezing at the table. Episode 2 opens a week after she cancelled their Thursdays without ever saying stop. Cole gets called down to dinner, and Richard walks in with the woman in red to announce a June wedding. Six months of sessions, and every story she told was about the man she is marrying. Polite smiles slide across the table: "Funny, Richard never mentioned you." "Funny, he never mentioned you either."

Then Richard leaves for a work call and the calm cracks. Cole drags the truth into the open: she never once said his name. Riley fires back that he was her client. So was he her client in her office too, and why did she kiss him back? They have one hour. She pulls him close, the robe begins to slide, and that slow slip is the loop you will replay forever.
