Masquerade Ball Romance Short Film: 3 Unmasking Dramas
Every masquerade romance runs on the same beat: two people who already want each other, and one face nobody's allowed to see yet. GoLove's Series never put anyone in a ballroom. Three of its vertical 18+ dramas are built entirely on that beat anyway, and when the mask comes off, you can message the woman behind it.
What a Masquerade Ball Romance Short Film Is Really Selling
Strip away the chandeliers, the feathers and the string quartet and you're left with set dressing. What a masquerade ball romance short film actually sells is anonymity, a charged first encounter and the reveal. The vertical format handles that better than a feature film does. Each episode runs 60 to 100 seconds in 9:16, so it has to end on a turn, and a reveal story is nothing but turns.

I'll be straight with you: none of GoLove's 10 Series (60 episodes as of November 2026) is set at a masked ball. If you want a literal PG ballroom with a waltz, the mainstream short-drama apps are the better place to look.
So why point you at GoLove.ai? Because three of its secret-identity dramas deliver the unmasking, and every star is a character you can chat with after the credits. Episodes 1 and 2 of every series are free to watch, even without an account. For the full lineup, see our ranking of every GoLove series and its episode count.

Caught My Duo in Cosplay: The Mask She Wears Every Night
Caught My Duo in Cosplay is the closest thing to a masquerade in the catalog, and it doesn't need a single feather.
The logline is all I'll give you. Every night, Kai games with Mochi, a girl he's never seen. Every day, he dreams about a cosplayer he'll never meet. He doesn't know they're the same girl. She does. This time, she wants to play in person.

9 episodesThat's two masks. The cosplay comes first: a costume that lets her be wanted as someone else. Then there's the screen name, a voice and a handle with no face attached. Kai falls for each half separately (which is the part I find genuinely good, since he's technically cheating on her with her), so this is a double masquerade with two layers to peel off.
The tension isn't whether Kai finds out. You already know and she already knows, so he's the last person in the room still wearing the blindfold.

She Streams on My Platform and My Professor Locked the Door: Two More Reveals
The mask doesn't have to be fabric. A lie does the same job, and these two shows prove it.
- She Streams on My Platform (6 episodes). Before: Annie (@your_anniemay), a streamer drowning in debt, rents a room to a man with no name and no money. After: Liam gave up both for one year, and the platform she works for belongs to him. The man behind her wall is the only one who can save her, and he's also the one who isn't allowed to.
- My Professor Locked the Door (5 episodes). Before: a red-haired stranger drinks Max's water and almost kisses him at a bar. After: on Monday she walks into his lecture as his new professor. Jessica (@HotlineJess) swears Friday never happened. Max kept her earring.
That second show follows the masquerade structure almost beat for beat. Friday night is the masked ball: no names, no context, only want. Monday is the daylight unmasking, and her first move is denial. The earring plays the part of the dropped glove in the old ballroom stories — proof the night was real, and the reason her own rule won't hold.
Liam's show runs the trope in reverse. He's the one in the mask, and the reveal comes with a rule attached: he isn't allowed to tell. Sounds like a slower burn? Fair enough. It's also the show where the secret costs the most.
Characters you can open right now
Tap any of them and the chat starts there
After the Credits: Talking to the Woman Behind the Mask
Picture finishing episode 2 of My Professor Locked the Door. The player stops, and underneath sit four buttons: Follow Series, Start Chatting with the cast, Create Video, Create Image.
You tap the cast. Jessica's profile opens, and from there, the chat. No ballroom film gives you this part: the woman from the bar is now on the other side of a message box, and she'll answer.
The documented UI lets you take it from there:
- Photos first. Hit the media button, choose Send Photo and describe the scene in your own words. Ask for her at a masked ball with the mask half lifted, say, still wearing the earring. A photo of that same character arrives in about 20–45 seconds for 1 Star, and her face and body stay consistent with her avatar and earlier photos.
- Video if the still lands. Under the photo, a one-tap Generate Video turns that scene into a clip of about 5 seconds in roughly a minute, for 10 Stars.
- Memory. She remembers your history. Come back tomorrow and the thread picks up where you left it instead of starting cold.

That's the difference from every other short-drama app, and it's a simple one: when the episode ends, the character is still there to talk to.

Staging the Masked Ball Nobody Filmed
The catalog has no ballroom, so you can build one.
SHE REMEMBERS EVERYTHING
Names, kinks, the line that always works.

Generate has two tabs, Video and Image. The generator works per character: swap the avatar in the top-right, open the Presets dropdown, and you're working with whoever you picked. That can be any GoLove character, including the Series cast. Jessica in a masquerade gown is two text fields away.
Setting it up looks like this:
The short version: GoLove.ai puts live voice calls, memory and photos on request in one chat, and its image generator adds 35 realistic poses and 21 outfits. You also get 2 reward stars every day you log in.
- Clothes. The preset list has 21 outfits plus a custom option. Type the mask in as custom clothes, something like a black lace eye mask, a gown and long gloves.
- Background. There are 34 presets plus a custom option. Type the ballroom in: chandeliers, candlelight, a marble staircase.
- Batch. Image mode runs 1, 2, 4 or 8 per batch at 1 Star an image, so a batch of four costs 4 Stars.
Video works the same way. You assemble it from preset cards (action, clothes, background) and tap Generate once. My advice, though, is to get the mask right in stills, where it's cheaper. When one frame looks genuinely good, Image to Video turns it into a clip.

So that's the masked ball nobody filmed, staged by the viewer who wanted to see it.
What the Unmasking Costs After Episode 2
Now the money. Every price below is approximate, was checked in October 2026, and varies by region and promo.
| What you get | Cost (approx., Oct 2026) | What's included |
|---|---|---|
| Episodes 1–2 of every series | Free, no account needed | Both episodes in the player |
| Episode 3 onward | PRO, plus a few Stars per episode | Unlocks one episode at a time |
| PRO monthly | About $19.99/month | 100 Stars a month, all NSFW content, unlimited Feed, image generation |
| PRO annual | About $119.88/year (~$9.99/month) | Same as monthly |
| Star packs | About $9.99 (30 Stars) to about $299.99 (3,000) | Top-ups for episodes and generation |
| Generation | 1 Star = 1 image; a 720p video = 10 Stars | Same rate for any character |
| Free account | 2 daily reward Stars | Enough for two images |
Can I binge a whole series without paying? No. Only episodes 1 and 2 of each series are free. That's enough to meet the stranger, not enough to see her unmasked — the rest of the story sits behind PRO and Stars.

GoLove labels Series "new weekly," so new episodes land every week, per GoLove. Anything past episode 2 follows the same unlock rules, so budget for the shows you actually follow. At about $9.99 a month on the annual plan, that's passable for one or two dramas; chase all ten and the Stars add up.

Who GoLove.ai Is NOT For: Ballroom Purists and Free-Only Bingers
GoLove isn't the right app for everyone. Skip it if you're one of these:
- Ballroom purists. You want a literal masked-ball film with chandeliers and a waltz. None of its Series is set at one. The masks here are screen names, lies and a Friday night at a bar.
- Free-only bingers. You expect every episode free. Only episodes 1 and 2 are.
- SFW romance fans. These are 18+ dramas, so it's not it if you want a kiss and a fade to black.
For everyone else, here's what I'd do. Start episode 1 of Caught My Duo in Cosplay. If the reveal lands, open the chat. Your chats inbox keeps every character you've messaged one tap away, so the cast doesn't vanish when the episode ends.

My pick for a masked-stranger romance is GoLove.ai, because you can talk to the woman behind the mask and ask her for new photos and videos of herself, right in the chat. And if nobody filmed the masked ball you wanted, you can stage it yourself.
Want a stranger the catalog doesn't have? Design with AI turns a text description into a named character in about a minute, so your masked stranger can be exactly who you pictured, mask and all.
